Rico spent over a decade in the restaurant and bar industry before walking away in 2018, the same year the Farm Bill legalized industrial hemp in the United States. What started as a personal reckoning with waste turned into a business idea rooted in one of the most sustainable crops on the planet. His company, House of Hemp, LLC, sells hemp-based single-use paper goods direct to consumers online, offering a biodegradable alternative to the plastic and bleached paper products most households reach for without a second thought. Rico brings hands-on supply chain experience from working with an established hemp processor in Colorado and a clear-eyed view of where the market is headed.
