Fellow: Holly Armstrong
Seed Lab Cohort: 2020/2021
With over 20 years of experience in tutoring and academic background in special education, learning disabilities and behavior disorders, Holly is an expert at individualizing education who too many times in her career heard complains about children disturbing classes. In the absence of a clear system and easily available tools to understand and address the causes of these behaviors, Holly learned that many of these children were under-served gifted learners that needed a different educational experience designed to encourage their talents. Developing a unique academic, social, and emotional curriculum, she has managed to guide them toward trajectories in their fields of interests and talents.
Academic Solutions is the result of the many lessons learned during this process and its vision is that under-served gifted learners who are disenchanted with school achieve their highest potentials.
