Following a successful career in the banking industry and technology start-ups, Darcy transitioned towards the cultural sector where her decades-long experience in operations brought an innovative approach to various institutions such as the Palm Springs Convention Center and The Annenberg Theater at the Palm Springs Art Museum. Her exposure to the arts and culture sector inspired her to launch the experimental Palm Springs Dance Festival in 2017, with non-profit fiscal sponsors, which grew exponentially over three years. In 2019 Darcy founded the Palm Springs Dance Project to incorporate it as a 501(c)(3), with enhanced programs designed to be a catalyst for inspiration and connectivity for the community, and a nurturing force for the development of youth through dance, arts and culture.
Palm Springs Dance Project aims to use the transformational power of dance and movement to empower local youth from under-served communities in the Coachella Valley, and Southern California through programs focused on dance education, performance, and community engagement.
