This webinar is funded by the Riverside County Nonprofit Assistance Fund (RCNAF), an initiative established to continue the County’s efforts to strengthen, expand, and support the local nonprofit sector to amplify their philanthropic roles which have played a critical role in the pandemic response.

Learning Outcomes

Understanding the Impact of AI in Grant Writing: Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how AI, specifically ChatGPT, can revolutionize the grant writing process for both for-profit and non-profit sectors.

Leveraging ChatGPT for Enhanced Proposal Writing: Attendees will learn practical ways to leverage ChatGPT to enhance the quality and effectiveness of their grant proposals, including crafting compelling narratives and refining project descriptions.

Uncovering the Future of Grant Writing Through AI: Participants will gain insights into the future of grant writing, exploring the evolving role of AI in shaping the landscape and discovering how it can be a powerful ally in the pursuit of social change.

Speaker

Amber Tarrac, Founder and CEO of FounderFuego

Amber Tarrac is a second-generation San Diegan, Founder and CEO of FounderFuego, and creator of FounderFuel, an entrepreneurship newsletter. For over two decades, Amber served in local and state government and non-profit sectors, economic and workforce development, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), communications, marketing, and administered over $22 million in small business and community grant programs and over $15 million in workforce development contracts.

Amber has worked for the state Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, where she led Southern California entrepreneurship and outreach efforts and the Employment Training Panel, where she administered workforce training contracts. Amber served as the Economic Developer for the cities of Miami Beach, Florida and Escondido, California, and worked for the County of San Diego for eleven years, including as a policy advisor for an elected official.

In the non-profit sector, she served as the President and CEO/Advisor for the San Diego County Latino Association and supported the California State Association of Counties Institute to provide professional development training to California’s 58 counties. She is a Municipal Management Association of Southern California member and conference speaker, is a Certified Economic Developer at the state and international levels, and is a state economic development instructor.

She is bilingual in Spanish and attended San Diego State University, where she earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration, a Master of Public Administration, and is grateful to serve as a professor of public administration. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking with her dog, Niko, and salsa dancing.
